Q What happens on Laylatul Qadr?

Answer

Short Answer:

  • How is your qadar put into action on Laylatul Qadr? So, I want you to imagine this. The angels are rushing around, dashing around and putting for us the destiny, the Qadar for the dunya for this next term, SubhanAllah.

………….

What actually happens on those last ten nights, on Laylatul Qadr. Allah tells us this in the next verse.

Therein descend the angels and the ruh [Gabriel] by Allah’s Permission with all decrees.(Quran 97:4)

How your Qadar is put into action on Laylatul Qadr

So, the angels descend. What happens on this night? Angels, in general, they are given particular tasks, particular jobs. This night their job is to put Allah’s decree, the Qadar, into action.

One of the signs, this is something mentioned by the Sahaba (companions) is the next verse in this beautiful Surah (chapter).

Peace it is until the rise of al-fajr (dawn). (Quran 97:5)

So, I want you to imagine this. The angels are rushing around, dashing around and putting for us the destiny, the Qadar for the dunya for this next term, SubhanAllah.

Laylatul Qadr a completely unique night

Now As-Salaam is one of the names of Allah and it is actually mentioned one time in the Quran. Now it is also related by some of the ulamaa (scholars) the rise of al-fajr (dawn) makes Laylatul Qadr a completely unique night amongst all the nights of the year.

Why? Because some of the ulamaa (scholars) say because it says until the rise of al-fajr (dawn) this could possibly mean that Allah extends this one night per year until the rise of fajr, until the dawn. Until the sun is starting to show its’ face above the horizon, Subhan Allah.

So, there is even more opportunity for rewards on Laylatul Qadr during this night. So if you feel peace during this day, during this evening and you are standing in prayer then maybe it is in shaa Allah that you have caught Laylatul Qadr.

May Allah grant y’all Laylatul Qadr on each of the 10 nights. May Allah grant you the reward of 1000 months on each one of those nights in shaa Allah.
