Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya once wrote, “Verily for everything that a slave loses there is a substitute, but the one who loses Allah will never find anything to replace Him”
In our lives, there are many changing seasons. We go from feeling joyful and close to Allah, to grieving and feeling like we are distant from Him. We wrestle with our doubts and questions, wondering if we are heard.
Losing Allah
These posts by our scholars remind us that our faith decreases when we look around us and not up to Allah for answers and emotional peace.
No believer goes through this life without feeling weak in their faith at times, but we all can take comfort in knowing Allah is with us in every season, whether good or bad.
Run behind the creation, and you’ll be left with nothing. Run behind the Creator, and you’ll be granted everything.
