If studying knowledge makes you despise, curse, and belittle your brothers and sisters then your fanaticism towards the people shows how very little knowledge you really have!
The more one studies knowledge the more humble and tolerant of other people and opinions one should become. Similarly, the more ignorant a person is the more arrogant, intolerant and divisive one becomes.
When the sacred knowledge of the Qur’an and Sunnah was sent down in the midst of a group of ignorant and arrogant people, it didn’t make them more arrogant and fanatic. Rather it transformed them to a generation of humble worshipers that tolerated differences and respected their brothers and sisters despite their differences.
Join Sheikh Dr. Yasir Qadhi in this khutbah and break through the shackles of ignorance and divisiveness, and embrace the humility of knowledge through tolerance and acceptance.
