A special journey from Iran to the United States
From Islam to other faiths searching for the truth
First from a Muslim identity to a “free” western life style
Then searching for God through different religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, New Age and Christianity
Born in Iran in 1947, sister Raya moved to the States in 1969.
In Manhattan, she was successful in her trade and owned her clothing store, and in California she became a wealthy business woman working in the real estate business, owning all the luxuries of life
But there was something missing …
She was attracted by the peace in Hinduism, but she did not find God
Then it was Buddhism … she joined them for a while
Followed by the New Age movement, then Christianity for seven and a half years
But she could not subscribe to the trinity ideology…
One day she took a copy of the Bible and a copy of the Quran to a hotel in the mountains and asked God to guide her
After 15 years of search and joining major religions of the world she came running back to Islam.
Why?
What made this US dream of being free from religion and tradition change course?
