Everything that happens in this life comes from God, and whatever happens, we have to say “Alhamdulillah.”
My name is Amina, I’m from Russia, and I’m twenty-one years old. I was born in a Christian family, but I have never attached importance to religion or faith.
And, at the same time, I was always feeling like I live in a strange place, I mean no one around was understanding me.
For example, when I was a teenager, my friends were trying alcohol, smoking, or even drugs… but when they were proposing me these things, I was always refusing… I didn’t know why, but I felt something inside my heart stops me. Now I think that it’s God who tried to help me find the way to Islam.
Practicing Islam
I converted to Islam about four years ago. I don’t know when was the first time I knew about this religion, but since my childhood, bit by bit, I was learning more about Islam… some things I learned from books, other things I learned from people. Also I had Muslim friends and when I was talking to them about Islam, I was feeling closer to my soul.
My life has changed after I converted to Islam to better side because I started to pray, fast in Ramadan month, and around two years ago, I started to cover my hair…
My View on Death
When I hear about someone’s death, of course I think about afterlife, and I think about the moment when I will meet God and I ask myself: “What will you say to God at that moment? And what kind of things you have to be ashamed of in front of Him? How can you correct them before it’s not too late?
I learned that I have to be careful about everything I do in this life because in the afterlife I have to answer in front of God about everything I did.
