ICNA-Relief: The Power to Serve During Ramadan

The shock of COVID-19 was paralyzing for many communities, but for ICNA Relief, their organizational structure allowed them to pivot into action and help millions of people across the country.

“When COVID-19 hit, I sat with my team and we drafted a plan of action. We thought about how we can service the people that are going to lose their jobs and how we can get food to those in need,” Sheik Shamikh Sahadat, the director of ICNA-Relief told AboutIslam.net.

“We also launched the tele-screening for COVID-19 and provided counseling and tele-medications for those in need. Moreover, we collaborated with nine-ten NGOs to distribute hot meals around the city.”
