Do you think Islam should be hard? Do you think if we ease our situation in any way that this is wrong in Islam? If you do then this is the wrong attitude. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) created ease for people.
A sahabi, Abu Barzah Al-Aslami (RA), was praying and while he was praying he held onto the reins of his horse. His horse struggled and tried to get away so Abu Barzah Al-Aslami went after the horse while he was praying. He grabbed the reins and then he resumed his prayer.
One man was watching this and started to judge Abu Barzah. He said “look at this man, he gives preference to his horse over the prayer.” He also said “O, Allah, inflict something on this man who is giving preference to his horse over prayer!”
Abu Barzah Al-Aslami (RA) heard what the man had said and after he finished praying, he went over the the man and told him that he had been on 8 expeditions with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Prophet always created ease for people! If he had let the horse go, he would have had to walk home and he wouldn’t have reached home until nightfall.
The Companions understood very well that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) created ease for people. Therefore, we should be following this example!
