Sometimes we leave something or someone for the sake of Allah and our status seems to be lowered. Is it OK to want the best of this world and the hereafter? If so why is everything is this world haram?
Allah speaks about this in Al-Baqarah in ayah 201. He is speaking about finishing the rituals of Hajj. He talks about those who ask for the good of this life but they don’t ask for the good in the next. There are also some who will ask for good in this life and good in the next.
