Those who work for this world they gain this world, and those who work for the hereafter gain the hereafter. Allah reminds us do not only work for this world, we need our deeds for the hereafter. We will be alive for a short period of time, the majority of time we will spend dead. In the Quran it says the devil will make you promises but has nothing, yet Allah makes us promises but has everything! 

Shaytaan will say on the day of judgement, when everything has been decided “Allah made a promise to you, I made a promise but I was cheating you, I had no power over you I just called you and you answered”. 

People will argue about the amount for zakat ul fitr but spend thousands on haram. It is better to give more in the way of charity.
