Everyone of us is trying to be a better person. Firstly we are trying to have a better relationship with Allah our creator. Allah says in the Quran “I have not created mankind or jinn for any purpose but to worship me.”
In order to live our lives in the obedience of Allah, all our acts become acts of worship if our intention is correct. You do not need to pray all day or fast everyday in order to be seen as someone who is a worshipper of Allah, you need to live your life in obedience of Allah to be considered as His worshipper.
In Surah ul Mulk Allah tells us that death and life are a test for us. We are all in competition with who we were yesterday. We should be trying to be better than we were yesterday, doing more good deeds that we did in the days previous.
Allaahummak-finee bihalaalika ‘an haraamika wa ‘aghninee bifadhlika ‘amman siwaaka.
“O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden , and make me independent of all others besides You.
