Many of us have Christian friends and relatives who celebrate Christmas. Many of us wonder, can we say Merry Christmas to our Christian friends?
We have to understand the historical context of why it was forbidden to say this in the first place. We also have to look at the realities that we live in today. People, generally, live in harmony now and greet each other on their religious occasions.
You are not saying to someone I agree with your religion, rather that you are happy that they are happy on their special day. You are not compromising your belief.
