Ingredients:
Dough
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 4 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Filling:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
Frosting
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Method:
- In a medium bowl, combine milk, white sugar, salt, and yeast together. Then add egg, buttermilk, oil, and Vanilla, whisk well. Add the flour and continue mixing until the dough is sticky
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface, knead for 10 minutes in a stand mixer with a dough hook. Cover and let rise for half an hour.
- Roll dough into a 16× 21 rectangle. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and butter in a bowl and spread over dough.
- Roll dough up lengthwise and cut into 12 even rolls. Place in a lightly greased 9×13 backing pan. Cover and let rise for another hour. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Bake rolls until golden brown, about 20 minutes. While rolls are baking, beat together cream cheese, 1/4 cup butter, confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Spread frosting on warm rolls before serving.
