It was an important colorful event yesterday, Feb 1, as the people around the world marked the World Hijab Day (WHD) in recognition of millions of Muslim women who choose to wear hijab and live a life of modesty.
Celebrated in over 140 countries, the event is aimed at fostering religious tolerance and understanding by inviting non-Hijabi Muslims and non-Muslims to experience wearing hijab for one day.
