Wa `alaykum as-salamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
As for your question, you need to consult a local imam and professional doctor. Don’t worry. Many people face similar problems and get rid of them by the Will of Allah.
Responding to your question, Sheikh Kifah Mustapha, the Imam and Director of The Prayer Center of Orland Park and representative for Dar El Fatwa of Lebanon in the US, states:
What concerns me most is that people, when talking about jinn or magic, cancel their ability to fight back themselves and defend themselves by being closer to Allah and engaging in acts of worship.
Jinn can never control a believer or cancel his or her ability to make decisions and rise up back strong insha’ Allah.
In most of the cases that come to my office assumed to be of jinn or magic, it turns to be something else like hardships in family, problems at home, medical mental problems like stress or depression or bipolar, etc.
Hence, I advise you to call the local Imam at your area and sit with him for a counseling session and let him evaluate your case. Your claim that some magic has been done on you should be verified.
Spiritual, social and medical support should come together by the Imam, family and doctors to look deep into your ability to hold on to your faith and get out from this trial you are going through.
Allah Almighty knows best.
