When a person has committed a sin do they deserve a second chance? One type is committing a sin between them and Allah. The second type is committing a sin involving the rights of other humans. For the first type, Allah’s mercy is greater than any sin, turn towards Allah. 

For the first type of sin there are 4 conditions for it to be forgiven, you must firstly admit it. Secondly, you must regret it. The third is to ask Allah’s forgiveness and the fourth thing we must do is promise not to commit the sin again and make a sincere effort not to do it again.
