A man tried to save a drowning cat and it scratched him. He tried again and it scratched him again. Another man watching him said why do you continue to try to save him when you keep getting scratched? The man ignored him and eventually saved the cat. 

He want over to the other man and he said “young man, treat people according to your nature not according to their’s.” 

No matter what people are like, no matter what their actions are or if they are trying to harm you, it is important not to heed to the voices to leave behind your good qualities. 

Never regret the moments you gave happiness to someone, even if they didn’t deserve it. You will be rewarded for it.
