All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
There is nothing wrong if a Muslim woman works as a fashion model as long as she does not do anything haram such as uncovering the private parts that have to be covered or saying anything haram.
Answering your question, Dr. Jasser Auda, Professor and Al-Shatibi Chair of Maqasid Studies at the International Peace College South Africa, states:
Modeling is one of the professions in which a person, whether male or female, demonstrates a particular line of clothing or line of products.
There is nothing wrong if a Muslim woman works as a fashion model as long as she does not do anything haram such as uncovering the private parts that have to be covered or saying anything haram.
Also the product itself must not be haram; she is not advertising anything unlawful to be worn.
Almighty Allah knows best.
