How can you turn your sins into good deeds? All our lives we struggle with the guilt of our sins, nevertheless it shouldn’t hold us back from repenting and starting a new. There are ways to let go of our sins, and yet we tend to postpone the first steps.

How to turn sins into good deeds?
In this video, Nouman Ali Khan addresses our brothers and sisters: the not-yet Muslims and the Muslims who have sinned.
- The first thing to consider, for instance, is getting the chance to let go of your heavy past. Indeed, it is the promise of Allah that all your previous sins will be erased when becoming Muslim, or make hijra (migration for the sake of Allah) or perform hajj! No sin is too big to be forgiven by Allah.
- Now think about it: you will start with a white page, which means a new record of deeds.
- Not only that, but Allah will also turn your “mountain of sins” into good deeds. That is to say you will be in a better position than any scholar or any Muslim when you enter Islam.
- Then, if all of this will change your life, why are we postponing taking these steps? Remember one important thing: Procrastinationis the thief of time and opportunity. Don’t delay your Tawbah (repentance)! The best example you can think about to motivate you is that of the Prophet (Pbuh) who was repenting hundreds of times every day!
What a wonderful thing is tawbah (repentance)! As a result your heart can be as light as a feather and you can convert your bad deeds into good ones.
Don’t miss on the chances given by Allah; truly your sins can be forgiven when you are sincere inshaAllah that is His promise:
“Say: O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah Az-Zumar 39:53)
